Longcause Community Special School in Plymouth saw 200 people attend the opening ceremony of their new sports hall, attracting teaching staff, representatives of the Wooden Spoon charity, families, local residents and staff. Find out more here.
It has taken the school five years to finally see the sports hall completed. Something that would not have happened without the support of the Wooden Spoon charity. Ex- England rugby union international Phil Vickery officially opened the new sports hall in his role as an official Wooden Spoon ambassador. Phil even took the time for a head-to-head ergo race against one of the Longcause students!
