On Friday 5th October 20
special and mainstream schools took part in a watersports festival that took
place due to a Plan Your 2012 bid that was won through the ‘Get Set Network’
which was the Educational Programme designed to engage young people in the 2012
Games. Applied for by Woodlands Special School in Plymouth, they are one of
only 75 schools to win a bid in the whole country!
Close to 170 young
people took part in all different types of watersport activities. From high
speed RIB rides to bellboating and gig rowing everyone had a wonderful day on
the water.
Hopefully
this will become an annual event!
